Maybe its beacuse i was brought up on a diet of Columbo and Scooby Doo, but i do enjoy a good mystery. Diarrhea Planet i can tell you nothing about. There is no infomation about them. All i know is someone goes around music websites with a link to a blog and a link to download an EP. Thats it. Upon further investigation, i can tell you the music is fantastic. Its the sound of a group of people not giving a fuck about record labels or the perfect chord. Its 5 short, feisty, cool, infectious
razor sharp, pop songs. I really cant tell if its nonsense or genius. But its so much FUN. Riffy and shouty, imagine Town Bike going via Pavement and The Flaming Lips with a dash of the Pixies. But dafter. 'Ghost with a Boner' could be an artificially stimulated Broken Social Scene. I cant imagine anything more enjoyable to listen to on the way home from a really, really, REALLY shit day at work. Those pesky kids.
