Ten to five project
Light as slowly shaking tail feather, rustic without being rusty, Glasgow’s ten to five project offer relief from radio one blandathon with dreamy, string soaked songs soothed through by Kathryn Orr’s strawberry sweet vocals. imagine a softer bluebells.
‘tears’ is a perfect soundtrack to ease away a hangover with a cup of tea. Starting off like arcade fire in a sweet shop, it moulds into jangly girl pop, with a wonderfully harmonised la-la-la chorus. ‘little yellow string’ recalls Hefner, with B&S trumpets and harmonies in the chorus that wouldn't be out of place on a Beatles LP. Ten to five project are a band to sigh for.
