C86 heroes and fuzzy four piece Strawberry Story are a sweet, indie poppy band with a couple of surprises up their party dress sleeve. Songs like ‘kiddie’ and ‘Andrew’ are gorgeous sway-along pop songs to coo to. Imagine Kirsty McColl after a fanta too many. Just when you think you have them sussed as the perfect soundtrack to twirl skirts too, they unleash ‘summer scene’, a fuzzy, filthy banger with a wonderful summer-is-here chorus. Like the Sundays rugby tackling the Ramones . A short, sharp summer shock. Wonderful.
