Loveliness doesn’t come much more jingly or,indeed, jangly than Australia’s The Lucksmiths. The gorgeous, honey-melting guitars are the perfect foil for the hushed, doe eyed vocals. The string embellished ‘California in popular song’ recalls the best of the Trashcan Sinatra’s, whilst ‘Camera-shy’ sounds like Thousand Yard Stare drowning in candy floss. The lyrics are wry and lovely with big hearted chorus’s. very nice, very nice, very nice. The Lucksmiths are on a last tour before spliting up, so cathc them while you can.
