What is it about Glasgow and great, interesting bands? Arty smarties Butcher Boy havn’t let the old town down. Dark and sweet with rusty, dusty strings, they come across like a cough mixture of the Tindersticks and the soundtrack to Amelie. The lyrics and vocals are gothic like a an old second hand suit in a dead mans cupboard. Oddly mesmerising, the band are a perfect support band, interesting and arresting without being over whelming, unlucky charming, Butcher boy are like a disco in a abattoir.
