Tada Tátà

Sometimes you just want some music that soothes, calms and makes you feel normal, like a glass of water on a hot day or a custard cream added to your elevenses.
Sweden's Tada Tátà are just the type of band to give you a bit of aural hug. They are as warming and as cosy as a jumper that smells of your lover.

Their sound is a hushed, almost folky pop full of sweet melodies and shiny plinky-plonk background noise, with soul shiftingly sweet melodic lifts.

'Ebony' is pretty little waltz with what sounds endearingly like a typewriter providing an accompanying rhythm. Its the soundtrack to walking around an indiepop fairground at 2 in the morning holding hands and trying not to drop your candyfloss.

A little more sinister yet no less twinkly is 'The Brigade', a minor chord maze of grey drums and pleaful vocals.

Clocking at under two minutes, 'Suzy' is the kind of song you wish every band would finish their set with. Happy and poppy with a bit for clapping too, its as pretty as uplifting pop gets. Lovely.
